Sydney’s looking at me wondering what I’m doing gawking at my MBP like it’s a plate of soy bacon w/ scrambled eggs.
Apple released iTunes 7.7 today which, contained the much anticipated and aptly titled App Store for the iPhone/iPod Touch. I was too impatient to wait for the official version of the 2.0 firmware to be release by Apple so I took it upon myself to manually update my phone after I arrived home from work. A couple minutes (albeit very long ones at that) later I was basking in all of the iPhone 2.0 greatness.
App’s are really cool and function much better than their web app counter parts. Facebook, Myspace, Twitterific have all been replaced by their more fitting native app friends. I’m very eager to try out Super Monkey Ball, though I’ve not downloaded it yet. Another iPhone applications I am looking forward to would be the release of Moneydance.
All in all, I’m very pleased with the iPhones 2.0 interface and can’t wait to continue to test out the wide array of brilliant applications now available from the developer community. I’m especially syked about the new way for taking perfect screen shots directly for the iPhone.
